Maurice Nuiten is a visual artist, curator, writer and lives and works in Breda. Nuiten studied Visual Arts / Photography from 2013 – 2015 at the Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam. He obtained his Master of Fine Art in 2017 at the Master Institute of Visual Cultures AKV | St.Joost in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The visual language of Maurice Nuiten is characterized by the use of the naked body (often maneuvered in surrealistic postures), everyday objects and daily life. However, performance forms the basis of the work, both as a form of research but also as a method to arrive at the final image or text.
